Do your breasts lose their original size and shape after pregnancy or weight loss? Or do you simply want your breasts to be larger or more symmetrical? Breast implant surgery can provide the size and shape you want while enhancing your self-confidence through a variety of proven methods.

What Are Breasts?

The breast is the tissue that covers the pectoral muscles in both sexes. In women, breasts contain specialized glandular tissue that produces milk, which remains inactive until pregnancy, as well as fatty tissue. The proportion of fat determines breast size.

Post-Pregnancy Breast Implants

During pregnancy, hormonal changes and preparation for breastfeeding cause breasts to enlarge. Once the skin has stretched, it often requires a long time to return to its original shape. Collagen, which helps maintain skin elasticity, decreases with age, making recovery slower. Breast augmentation surgery helps restore the breasts’ shape more quickly. In some cases, this procedure may be combined with a breast lift.

Would You Like Larger or More Symmetrical Breasts?

During your consultation, the surgeon will present a range of methods for enlarging your breasts or achieving symmetry. The choice of implant plays a major role in the final result, and the placement of the implant is equally important.

Are You Simply Unhappy With Your Breasts?

Today’s medical advancements make it possible to change many aspects of your body’s appearance, but not all changes are necessary or advisable. For this reason, we discuss with each patient not only their goals and reasons for seeking surgery but also the most suitable breast augmentation options available.

What Are the Techniques for Breast Augmentation?

One option is breast augmentation with fat transfer. This method uses fat harvested from other areas of your body for breast reconstruction. Some patients consider this technique superior to implants because the material is organic and natural, potentially offering longer-lasting results. Since the fat comes from your own body, there is no risk of rejection. An additional benefit is the improvement of two body areas: the breasts gain volume, and the donor areas become slimmer.

The more common method is augmentation with breast implants. Implants can be customized for each patient, available in spherical or anatomical shapes, and selected to achieve the desired size. This method offers highly predictable results and allows for a more dramatic transformation. Some implants are filled with saline solution, providing a texture closer to natural tissue and improved safety in case of rupture. Breast implant rupture is rare, occurring in about 1% of cases according to recent PubMed statistics [1].

Surgical scars are placed as discreetly as possible, typically in hidden areas.

Implants are positioned either under the breast tissue or beneath the pectoral muscles (submuscular). Each placement method has advantages and disadvantages, which your surgeon will explain based on your needs. Over time, scars fade, although visibility depends on incision type, location, and surgical technique.
