Dr. Buia Florin Dumitru

Dr. Buia Florin Dumitru graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. Since 2017, he has been a Specialist in vascular surgery, holding additional certification in vascular ultrasound, with extensive experience managing a large number of cases of chronic venous disease, primarily in advanced stages.

He also has significant experience in general surgery, performing a wide range of procedures including thyroid surgery, digestive surgery, breast surgery, and hernia repairs, using both classical and laparoscopic approaches. He has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery with hands-on experience in inguinal hernia repair (TEP, TAP, eTEP), umbilical hernia repair (IPOM+, eTEP), hiatal hernia repair, cholecystectomy, adrenalectomy, splenectomy, appendectomy, cystectomy or adnexectomy, and renal cyst procedures.

He completed his residency and early years as a Specialist Physician at the Military Emergency University Hospital in Bucharest. He currently works as a Primary General Surgeon at the Military Emergency Clinical Hospital in Cluj-Napoca, a center recognized for treating complex abdominal wall defects using all current techniques. He actively participates in various scientific events and publications in this field.
